This is a comfortable hotel overlooking the Mississippi River off Interstate 80. All rooms include free Wi-Fi and complimentary Grab n' Go or Hot Breakfast, Indoor Heated Pool and Exercise Room, as well as free parking.

River Pilot's Pier is the white 3-story building on the riverbank which houses the Lone Star, a vintage riverboat. The Buffalo Bill Museum is right next door, Front St. is across the RR tracks and Cody Rd. runs parallel, a block over.

Founded by the LeClaire Woman's Club in 1957, this Buffalo Bill Museum showcases the life and legacy of a man whom the museum's Executive Director Bob Schiffke calls 'the world's first superstar' — William F. 'Buffalo Bill' Cody.

You'll see Iron-Eyes Cody’s tipi, a 1924 Ford Model T fire truck, a 1939 Chris Craft speedboat and a model of the Robert E. Lee steamboat. Be sure to see the cross-section of the famous "Green Tree," once a historic landmark and meeting place on the riverbank. Also featured is a one-room schoolhouse and the "Lone Star," a full-size 1860s-vintage sternwheeler housed next door.

Walk to the Cody Friendship Memorial
At the corner of Wisconsin and Front Streets, LeClaire IA

In 1924, local resident Joe Barnes dedicated this stone marker to Buffalo Bill and their childhood memories of playing under the landmark "Green Tree" elm at the foot of Wisconsin Street.

Be sure and see a cross-section of the famous "Green Tree" at the Buffalo Bill Museum!

Walk to the Scott County Freedom Rock
At the corner of Dodge and Front Streets, LeClaire IA

"Bubba's" Freedom Rock is a large (approx. 60+ ton) boulder located on Front Street that is repainted every year with a different 'Thank You' for our nations’ veterans. The artist, Ray “Bubba” Sorensen II, was inspired by the movie "Saving Private Ryan," to recognize Veterans on Memorial Day. "Bubba" paints the Freedom Rock on his own with the support of family and friends.

Walk to Antique Archaeology

The two-story former fabrication shop is the home base for the American Pickers Show on the History Channel. It now houses some of their best picks and a souvenir shop. Browse around and "Pay-As-You-Go."

It's only a block to the restaurant, but if you're driving, parking is available!

Located in the historic 1851 Dawley House, the Crane & Pelican offers classy comfort food in an 1851 River Boat Captain's Mansion.

Tour the Black Hawk Historic Site & Hauberg Indian Museum

The Hauberg Indian Museum tells the story of the Sauk and Mesquakie people living at Saukenuck, Black Hawk's birthplace. Dioramas show daily life through the four seasons with summer and winter houses, artifacts like jewelry, fur trade goods, some personal possessions of Black Hawk and his family and a dugout canoe.

On 15th Street between 4th Avenue and River Drive, the John Deere Pavilion offers easy parking and free admission.

This landmark glass building on the banks of the Mississippi River, with expansive galleries and intimate rooms, is a premier art exhibit and education facility.



4:30 - 5pm

Motorcade to the Bent River Brewing Co. & the Analog Arcade Bar
1413 5th Avenue, Moline IL

The Bent River Brewing Co. is housed in an Italian Renaissance style building recognized by the National Register of Historic Places.

They have a patio area in the back and brew on-site.

The parking lot across the street belongs to the bank, so use the municipal parking lot behind the building and enter through the patio area.

If you want, you can leave your car in the John Deere parking lot and walk 1000 feet to Bent River Brewing and the Analog Arcade, but don't forget you have to walk back!




5 - 5:45pm

Both Bent River and the Analog Arcade are "Pay-As-You-Go" activities.

Inside is a long bar with the original copper brewing kettles in a line behind the bar. Enjoy the Stout, Ale, Pilsner, Lager, Kölsch or Fruit and Field beer of your choice and inspect the equipment!

Or, play some classic arcade games like Pacman, Ms. Pacman, Qbert, WWF Wrestlefest, Frogger, Galaga, Guitar Hero, and Shinobi that fill 2 floors at the Analog Arcade.

They also have air hockey, classic pinball machines, Beer Pong, NBA Hoops and a claw machine!

Here's your chance to see the dry-docked Lone Star, a 90-foot wooden hull steam-powered stern-wheeled towboat. Built in 1868, she is the oldest of three surviving steam-powered towboats and the only one with a wooden hull. She was declared a National Historic Landmark on December 20, 1989.

Walnut Grove Pioneer Village & more!


We'll read the plaque at Buffalo Bill's birthplace, tour the Buffalo Bill Homestead built by his father Isaac, tour the Walnut Grove Pioneer Village, pay our respects at his brother Samuel's grave at Long Grove Christian Church Cemetery, visit the Alexander Brownlie Sod House and return to the Comfort Inn. Buffalo Bill was born in 1846, in a log
cabin in the grove on the horizon,
(23rd St. and Territorial Rd.)


Built by Isaac Cody in 1847, the Homestead is in the Wapsipinicon River Valley.
